Q&A With Marc Roberts

This month, Marc has curated our October Spotify mix:

‘ONE FOR MY BROTHER – OCT 22 – BY MARC ROBERTS’

Our mate Marc Roberts was introduced to Nichola when Fabric opened via his brother Shaun Roberts. Someone whom we always hold dear, as we share countless dancefloor memories and shenanigans from the early days of Fabric. Shauny burst into our lives with his quick wit, Geordie accent and a penchant for dressing up.

As Shaun puts it “he’s got himself in a bit of a pickle” to put it mildly. Devastatingly in 2019 Shaun was diagnosed with bowel cancer, since then the cancer has spread. He’s endured a shocking number of operations, radiotherapy and chemo. But in true Shaun form, he’s remained upbeat and today is doing all he can to help others in similar situations.

The UK can’t offer him much more at this stage BUT, Shaun has found a groundbreaking program at The CeGat Clinic in Tubingen, Germany whereby hopefully they can increase his odds of “being around to get on your nerves for a while longer”!!

So, we are asking for all those that resonate with Shaun’s story, or perhaps have been given a squeeze at Fabric to reach in your pockets and donate to help our Shauny out, life’s much better with him in it.

“Shaun and I took the concept of after party to another level. It would start at 5 am Saturday and finish around 10 am Monday morning. People from all around would travel miles to learn our technique.”
